Consumer Reviews

I just saw "Breaking Dawn" element 1, and I was Extremely impressed, even if as a man I am probably not the most typical fan of "Twilight" series. I rather liked all the "Twilight" movies till now and this 1 is, to my personnal taste, as very good as the preceding ones - and even in one aspect a small bit improved, as Edward and Bella lastly become lovers. Beneath, you will come across a short description of what I believe are the most effective elements of this film, with pretty restricted SPOILERS:
1. Actors. All actors evolved as the serie continued and I believe they all got better with time. Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are both outstanding, but - in my humble opinion - it is Kristen Stewart who in this movie shines the most. Really a lot of folks regularly criticized her actorship claiming that she simply can not play at all and has a extremely limited assortment of expressions in her tool box. But for me, following reading "Twilight" books, this is how the character of Bella should certainly be. I can hardly picture her wide smiling with all her teeth bared or performing any other very extraverted things like that. In reality I think that either by style or by accident Kristen Stewart got the issues ideal about this character - her minimalistic strategy to facial expressions actually makes (for me) Bella quite believable and also really likeable. In this part of the story, Bella takes a more dynamic strategy to life by taking her destiny firmly under control. She makes important choices and takes extreme risks, stubbornly resisting the opposite guidance of all her loved ones and friends - all of that in a deceptively unassuming way... And Kristen Stewart acted in the movie specifically as I pictured Bella did it, when I read the books. A particularly fantastic job!
Other actors are also outstanding, with Ashley Greene and Billy Burke becoming as usual the pillars - but amongst the supporting roles it is Nikki Reed who extremely gets the most praise from me. She has a much larger function in this film and she is great in it! The a single (tiny) disappointment is Jackson Rathbone, who changed comletely his haircut for this film and as a result his character, Jasper, seems much much less impressive, which is a pity. He also appears to appear particularly tiny in the "first line", virtually as if the director preferred to hide him a tiny...
two. Visual aspects. As usual, the images of state of Washington are outstanding, but the tropical island exactly where Bella and Edward devote their honey moon is also rather pleasantly showed. Dark forests filled with (were)wolves are fairly substantially present right here and they are a outstanding background for the story.
three. Music. As usual in those series, music and songs have been chosen quite cautiously and with a wonderful taste.
four. The (were)wolf pack. The Quileute wolves are shown right here even even more and superior than in the previous part. The scene of their war council, when they are all in the werewolf form, is totally great! The scene when Sam (the alpha male) asserts and confirms his power more than the pack is terrific - as fine as the description of Jacob's defiance and its consequences.
5. The wedding. A incredibly good and moving scene with some humour components, specially when the guests make speeches supplying toasts. Emmett, Jessica and Bella's father give here a superb show. In the very same time Mike Newton obsesses on vampire bridesmaids from the Denali clan, to the point of drooling (and I Entirely realize him!). Bella's mum and, suprprise surprise, Rosalie (!) are also authentic treasures in wedding scenes.
6. Quileute wolves vs. Cullen coven confrontation. This heartbreaking, tense and at moments violent conflict in which both sides are trapped against their will is a amazing moment in the Twilight saga - and its final resolution is even improved! Finally it is accurate what the Beatles were singing - all you will need is enjoy! Babies aid also...
7. The fight for Bella's life, Renesmee's bloody birth and Bella's fate - superb! Those were moments rather challenging to film - but the challenge was met succesfully! Absolutely nothing more about it to steer clear of far more spoilers, but I was fairly impressed!
Conclusion: it is an terrific movie which I watched with awesome pleasure. My wife, who typically is a considerably harder person to please, loved it also and she is going to see it once again with some girlfriends. And we will unquestionably both wait with superb expectations for the "Breaking dawn" element two. If it was accomplished as properly as that one, it will be certainly worth waiting 1 year to see it...

You get a single disk with the Theatrical Release and a handful of extras. What in THE world tends to make this a special edition? You don't even know this is your lot until you open it and see it on the disc. :(
